Free Age Calculator
Enter your date of birth and get your exact age down to the day, plus a few fun facts about your life in numbers.
This free age calculator takes your date of birth and computes your exact age in years, months, and days, your total days lived, the day of the week you were born, and how many days remain until your next birthday. For example, someone born June 15, 1990 is 36 years, 3 months, and 20 days old on October 5, 2026, was born on a Friday, and has lived 13,261 days.
Ages are computed from the calendar dates you enter, using your device's current date. Leap years are handled automatically.

How exact age math works
Exact age is not just subtraction. You subtract the birth year, month, and day from today's year, month, and day, then borrow like in grade-school arithmetic: if the day goes negative, borrow a month and add that month's days; if the month goes negative, borrow a year and add 12 months.
Take June 15, 1990 to October 5, 2026. Years: 2026 minus 1990 is 36. Months: 10 minus 6 is 4. Days: 5 minus 15 is negative 10, so borrow a month: months drop to 3, and September has 30 days, so days become 20. The exact age is 36 years, 3 months, and 20 days.
Total days lived is simpler: it is the raw day count between the two dates, leap days included. From June 15, 1990 to October 5, 2026 is 13,261 days. Divide by 7 for weeks, or by 365.25 for a rough year count, but the years-months-days form is the precise one.
The day of the week you were born comes from the calendar itself. June 15, 1990 was a Friday. The calculator also counts down to your next birthday: from October 5, 2026 to June 15, 2027 is 253 days.
Edge cases are handled the way calendars do. Leap-day babies born February 29 get March 1 as their birthday in non-leap years for counting purposes, and month lengths (28 to 31 days) are taken from the actual calendar, never averaged.
Age calculator questions
How do I calculate my exact age?
Subtract your birth year, month, and day from today's. If the day goes negative, borrow the previous month's days; if the month goes negative, borrow 12 months from the year. Example: June 15, 1990 to October 5, 2026 gives 36 years, 3 months, 20 days.
How many days old am I?
It is the straight day count from your birth date to today, leap days included. Someone born June 15, 1990 has lived 13,261 days as of October 5, 2026. The calculator computes this from the real calendar, not an average year length.
What day of the week was I born?
The calculator maps your birth date onto the calendar week. For example, June 15, 1990 was a Friday. Any valid date works, and leap-day birthdays resolve correctly.
How does the calculator handle leap years?
All math runs on actual calendar dates, so leap days are included in day counts and February lengths are correct per year. If you were born February 29, non-leap-year age math counts from March 1, the standard convention.
